economics<\/li>\n<li>Social infrastructure development<\/li>\n<li>Urban health and environmental planning<\/li>\n<li>Detailed town planning<\/li>\n<li>Urban Design and Landscape Design (redesign of open areas, brownfield development etc)<\/li>\n<li>Cultural heritage and tourism development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"justify\">An expert team with long presence in the field, is involved in the conduct of comprehensive and integrated regional and urban plans that cover a multitude of issues related to: land use zoning, sustainable development, environment protection, natural resources management, protection and conservation of fragile ecosystems, cultural heritage protection, priorities and measures for revitilising and redeveloping rural areas, development of productive sectors including tourism vis-\u00e1-vis, environment protection, enhancement of quality of life, provision of necessary infrastructure, sustainable mobility, green building and reduced-energy consumption design, integration of renewable energy sources into spatial planning, globalisation, decentralisation, public participation and involvement etc. Geographic Information System (GIS) technology is widely used in the framework of all urban and regional planning projects.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4 align=\"justify\">Typical projects:<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"arrowlist\">\n<li>Strategic urban plan of the Municipality of Kardamena in Kos Island (one of the most famous Greek tourist destinations).<\/li>\n<li>Operational plan for the Municipality of Igoumenitsa 2007-2010.<\/li>\n<li>Master plan and detailed designs of open spaces (squares and recreational sites) in the town of Kalampaka \u2013 Meteora region<\/li>\n<li>Expansion &#8211; revision &#8211; street layout and block design in the framework of the City of Ioannina&#8217;s Town Plan preparation.<\/li>\n<li>Strategic local plans for the Municipalities of Amaliada, Agios Konstantinos, Almyros, Mouzaki, Filiatra, Anaktorio, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Master plan for the rehabilitation of Amvrakikos traditional settlements<\/li>\n<li>Strategic master plans (including action plans) for 11 villages in the Limassol region in
