Signing a new contract with the Region of Thessaly
ROIKOS SA, following a competition launched by the Department of Technical Works of the Regional Authority of Karditsa, was awarded the contract: “Local Development Plan of the Municipality of Argithea in the Karditsa Region”. The contract was signed in 08.23.2013, the project budget is 154.043,00 €, plus VAT and its completion deadline is 16 months.
The contract is co-funded by the Regional Operational Programme of the Thessaly – Western Greece – Epirus Regions 2007-2013.
The contract’s scope is to prepare the Municipality’s Spatial and Town Plan, which will provide the basis for the future sustainable development of the area, including all infrastructure works, studies and legal interventions within a timeframe of 15 years, deemed necessary to meet current local population, housing and socioeconomic needs in accordance with the national and EC policies and practices. Moreover, in the context of the current economic crisis and the constraints in place following the public fiscal reforms, the Plan will contribute to stimulating and diversifying the local economy through maximizing the development potential, prospects and local resources.
