Signing a new contract with the Region of the Ionian Islands
Our company INTEGER S.A.(leader) in joint venture with the architectural design company MEAS S.A. will be signing a contract with the Region of the Ionian Islands (Technical Services Department in Corfu) to conduct the preliminary design of the project ‘‘REHABILITATION OF THE VILLA ROSSA BUILDING”, in the framework of an open tender according to the provisions of Article 6 of the law 3316/05.
The contract’s scope is the restoration of the historic building Villa Rossa, which is located in the area of San Rocco in Corfu, in order to host exhibitions and other cultural events focusing on the city’s history. The Villa Rossa building (Red Mansion) is a cultural heritage site of the 19th century and has been designated by the Ministry of Culture as a piece of art requiring special state support and treatment, since it is a remarkable sample of Ionian Sea (“eptanesian”) architecture and in particular of the urban architecture with strong influences from foreign countries’ architecture.
The restoration of Villa Rossa will provide the city of Corfu with a building of great historic and aesthetic value, thus enhancing the city’s cultural and historical assets and their promotion.
The estimated final fee for the project is 396.794 Euro plus VAT, and it is co-funded by the NSRF 2007-2013.
At this stage of the competition, apart from our firms, Office 75 Architects S.A. and MARAVEAS & PARTNERS L.P. have also been selected.
The deadline for the submission of the preliminary design, including both technical and financial offer, is the 10th of June 2014.
