Presentation of Second Phase of the Local Development Plan of Kalampaka
The second phase of the Local Development Plan was presented in Kalampaka on 14 November 2013. Our experts responsible for the project, Mrs Alexandra Papadima Kalergi, Mr Stratis Babalikis and Mrs Dimitra Gitakou, have stressed to the event participants (Municipal Authority, representatives of local agencies and organisations, inhabitants) the significance of the project for the future development of the area, especially in the context of the current socioeconomic crisis and the development potential as derived by the local advantages and the physical, cultural and environmental attractions. The team of experts presented the key directions for sustainable land use management, housing development and spatial arrangement of local production sectors in a complementary way and with emphasis on cultural tourism attracted by the internationally famous religious site of Meteora monasteries. The opinions collected and the discussion that followed the presentation, combined with the viewpoints expressed in the course of the extensive public participation process promoted though the internet (via the Municipality’s website, our company’s web page and other local news web pages), will be taken into account in the next – final – phase of the Local Development Plan.
