Cosmogym Festival and Contest 2017
The girls of the ASED General Gymnastics – for the third consecutive year – managed to win one of the Golden Medals of the Festival in the international competition “Cosmogym Festival and Contest 2017”, which took place in 20 to 25 of June at the Olympic Boxing Center “Giorgos
Stephanopoulos ” in Peristeri, Athens. They were also awarded the “Best Dance Team” award, which is a top distinction in one of the two basic elements of the organization’s evaluation (dance). More than 7,000 athletes participated in the contest, while the choreographies exceeded 320 in number, with the girls of the ASED dancing “Lost in Space” by Svetlina Panigiou, Vanessa Pollatou, Sofia Kalaboka and Matina Trampa, taking off the warm applause of the spectators!
Immediately after, the girls left to participate in the Kefalonia Gym Festival, which is one of the largest “Gymnastics For All” international events in Europe. It takes place around the end of June, on the beautiful island of Kefalonia, lasting 4 days, and the appearances of the sports clubs take place in three different parts of the island, Lixouri, Fragata and Argostoli. Following the idea and philosophy of mass athletics, the Festival is non-racing and is aimed at the whole world without discrimination. People from different parts of the world are united by their love of Gymnastics and are enjoying their participation in this great celebration of sports in which there are no winners and losers.
