First step for the Development of the Oinofyta Business Park
For decades now around the town of Oinofyta hundreds of industries have formed an Informal Industrial concentration which lacks spatial planning and the necessary infrastructures resulting to negative impacts on the environment as well as on the existing businesses’ economic performance. The located at the IIC of Oinofyta enterprises economic activity corresponds to 1/3 of industrial sector GDP.
On May 3rd the Development Application (DA) of Oinofyta Business Park was submitted by Oinofyta Business Park Development Company S.A. (EANEP OA S.A.) to the General Secretariat of Industry.
Our company ROIKOS ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS SA (Leader) in partnership with SAMARAS & ASSOCIATES SA prepared the necessary studies and provided technical support to EANEP OA S.A. during the last one year and a half in order during the application process for the development of an emblematic project the largest and one of the most important for Greece, the Business Park for environmental remediation at Oinofyta. Informal Industrial Concentration (IIC) area, that of the development of the Business Park.
Oinofyta Business Park is the first RBP to be developed in Greece, according to Law 3982/2011. Under our project we studied all the necessary infrastructures and the proposed spatial planning of the area having as our main objective the environmental protection and in parallel the environmental, economic, and social performance enhancement of the existing and new to be established in the park businesses by designing a sustainable, modern park that is going beyond the legal compliance with main objective the environmental protection and the local urban/industrial community sustainable and successful synergy and symbiosis.
