Information & Communication Technology (ICT) is nowadays integrated in all aspects of project management, design and implementation, bringing significant advantages in processes and operations, such as:

The ICT department of Roikos S.A. offers integrated services in the following sectors:

  • Operational design and management of information systems and networks, utilising the utmost safe and modern technologies of remote management.
  • Demand analysis, application development and design.
  • Design and creation of web applications and websites.
  • Consultancy on all issues pertinent to ICT.
  • Optimisation of ICT networks and applications.
  • Cost and operation analysis including estimates of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) of ICT systems.
  • Study of automation systems, remote control and operation of technical infrastructure and industrial installations.

The ICT department is also supporting all activities and assignments undertaken by Roikos S.A., through the provision of innovative applications and high quality ICT services, as required in each project. Indicatively, special ICT applications have been developed in the context of carrying out projects as well as organising business operations, such as state of the art software applications for geospatial data management and for creation of land registry and cadastre, or ICT applications for project file management and archiving, financial and human resources management etc.

Open source tools and methods are used in developing ICT applications, i.e. Eclipse, JAVA, JavaScript, PhP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, PostGis, Nagios, WordPress, Joomla, OpenCMS, Drupal, together with up-to-date solutions of business software such as .ΝΕΤ, MS SQL Server, Oracle, Arc GIS, Manifold, etc.


Typical projects:

  • Various ICT applications for the creation of spatial databases (GIS) and monitoring platforms in respect to environmental management studies and infrastructural project management (water supply networks, gas supply networks, mobile telephony aerials and towers etc).
  • Studies of ICT networks and systems in a large number of building and industrial projects.
  • Land information system in the area of the expansion of the town boundaries of Anthousa Community (Greater Athens’ suburb).
  • Consultant to the Volos Municipal Water and Sewerage Company in the project “Automation of operation – automatic control of the inner and outer water supply system”, including formulation of a model to control water leakages, configuration of factors relevant to the function of the model application, development of automation systems, remote control and handling, etc
  • Land Information System (cadastre) for the cities of Alexandroupoli, Drama, Xanthi, Kilkis and Polygyros.
