  On 22 March 2025 we celebrate World Water Day. We are committed to its conservation and rational use, adopting modern and innovative practices that ensure sustainable development. Water is at the heart of our activities, as we provide integrated design and consulting services, from the drafting of management plans and pricing policies, the design and supervision of water supply and land reclamation projects, as well as alternative production projects (desalination, wastewater reuse), to the design of smart metering, saving and leakage control systems. The rational management and sustainability of water resources is a key priority for us, as we recognise the importance of water for both the environment and society. Through our services, we seek to contribute to the protection of water ecosystems, the efficient use of water resources and access to clean water for future generations. All our actions align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), shaping a future where water remains a constantly available and safe natural resource. Red List of Threatened Species of Greece

  In celebration of European Natura 2000 Day on May 21, the new Red List of Threatened plant, animal, and fungi in Greece is now available, serving as a significant tool for the protection of natural heritage and the sustainable management of natural resources. The specific list is a result of collaboration between the Organization for Natural Environment and Climate Change Agency Greece (NECCA) and 140 scientists, evaluated over 11,000 species, 21.5% of which were classified as threatened. Specifically, 1,213 species are Vulnerable (VU), 775 are Endangered (EN), and 453 are Critically Endangered (CR). Among these, 3,000 endemic species of Greece will be included in the global Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). This initiative, funded by the Operational Program "Transport Infrastructure, Environment, and Sustainable Development 2014-2020," supports the design of targeted conservation actions and protection policies. Greece also participates in the Natura 2000 network, which protects areas of high environmental value and threatened species. The publication of the Red List on European Natura 2000 Day reinforces efforts to protect nature at both National and European scales.

Signing of the 1st Construction Contract from the Third Phase of Larnaka Sewerage

The Board of Larnaka Sewerage and Drainage Authority (LSDB) signed the first construction Contract of the 3rd Phase of the Larnaka Sewerage System with the Joint Venture "IACOVOU – ZEMCO (LSP) JOINT VENTURE", on Monday, May 15, 2023. This Construction Contract C2: Remaining of Dromolaxia – Meneou, with a contract value of €16,237,000 and a completion time of 40 months, constitutes the first out of five (5) Contracts included in the third phase of Larnaka Sewerage project, with a total budget of approximately €100,000,000. The remaining two more contracts are expected to be signed soon and to begin by the end of the year. Our joint venture "Roikos Engineering Consultants S.A. (Leader) - Z&A Consulting Engineers SA", as Consultant of the contracting Authority & Designer of the project, have prepared all the required studies and matured one of the largest wastewater management projects in Cyprus, on the other hand supported the LSDB and the Water Development Department in securing the required permits and the co-financing of the project by the EU. New contract with the Ministry of Culture & Tourism

Our company ROIKOS SA on 2.3.2023 signed a contract with the Ministry of Culture & Tourism for the elaboration of the study of the project "BUILDING ENERGY UPGRADE OF THE MUSEUM OF THE ROYAL TOMBS OF AIGAI (VERGINA), THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF PELLA AND THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF KAVALA". The project aims to rationalize the energy needs of the three Museums Buildings, through the building energy efficiency improvement, while in parallel, the visiting conditions and the relevant offered cultural services will be considered and optimized. The main objectives of the contract include the assessment of the three Museums energy performance, that will lead to the proposal and implementation study of the appropriate improvement interventions, and the respective tender documents, with the aim of the energy efficiency upgrade of the buildings, in compliance with the current rules and regulations and modern technologies, in order to achieve the lowest possible energy consumption and the best possible rating (class) of their energy performance.

Signing a new contract with Patmos Municipality (Greece)

Our company ROIKOS SA, signed on 14.06.2022 a contract with Patmos Municipality in Greece for the project “Sewer network design study of Kampos city, in the island of Patmos.” The scope of work of the contract concerns the wastewater management works of Kampos city, under the main objective of protecting the beautiful homonymous beach, which is the most famous and crowded on the Holy Island. The Aegean Island of Patmos is designated as “Holy Island” by the Greek Parliament in 1981 as well as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. It is pointed out that our company, in the framework of previous contracts, has been successfully cooperating with Patmos Municipality since 2004, providing consulting and design services for the maturation and implementation of critical infrastructures for the World Heritage Site of Patmos Island (water supply networks, stormwater drainage and wastewater management projects, Skala port works, etc).

New contract signed with the Public Gas Distribution Company

Our company ROIKOS SA, on 19.05.2022 signed a contract with the Public Gas Distribution Company for the Provision of Project Management & Construction Supervision Services for the implementation of Medium and Low Pressure Natural Gas Distribution Networks in Sterea Ellada Region. The main objective of the contract is the provision of administration services and construction supervision of the implementation of medium and low pressure natural gas distribution networks in the cities of Chalkida, Thebes, Lamia, Livadia, Amfissa and Karpenisi. This is a significant success of our company, in the context of the strategy for the expansion of its activities in the energy sector and, in particular, the gas sector, the promotion of which as an intermediate fuel is included as one of the main policy measures foreseen for the GHG emissions reduction and removal plays a critical role in the Greek National Energy and Climate Plan. For the implementation of the contract our company will cooperate with the SALFO SA, ADO SA and TWD Ltd.

First step for the Development of the Oinofyta Business Park

For decades now around the town of Oinofyta hundreds of industries have formed an Informal Industrial concentration which lacks spatial planning and the necessary infrastructures resulting to negative impacts on the environment as well as on the existing businesses’ economic performance. The located at the IIC of Oinofyta enterprises economic activity corresponds to 1/3 of industrial sector GDP. On May 3rd the Development Application (DA) of Oinofyta Business Park was submitted by Oinofyta Business Park Development Company S.A. (EANEP OA S.A.) to the General Secretariat of Industry. Our company ROIKOS ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS SA (Leader) in partnership with SAMARAS & ASSOCIATES SA prepared the necessary studies and provided technical support to EANEP OA S.A. during the last one year and a half in order during the application process for the development of an emblematic project the largest and one of the most important for Greece, the Business Park for environmental remediation at Oinofyta. Signing a new NRW contract in Ethiopia

Our company ROIKOS SA in a joint venture with Z&A SA, on 19.04.2022 has signed a contract for providing "Consulting Services for Development of an Non-Revenue Water Reduction Strategic Plan and Implementation Mechanisms & Business Plan Development of Hawassa, Wolaita-Sodo and Arba-Minch Towns Water Supply and Sewerage Authority" SNNPRS Water, Irrigation and Mines Development Bureau is the Client of this Project and will conduct the procurement and contract management while during the study and design period, deliverables of the Consultants will be reviewed by the Ministry of Water and Energy, as well as the three town Utilities and relevant Town-level Stakeholders. The project has two main assignments with their own specific objectives and scope of services to develop a Business Plan, and to develop a Non-revenue Water Reduction Strategic Plan for each of the utilities of Hawassa, Wolaita-Sodo and Arba Minch.
